Aurora Loan does not help homeowners at all!!!!

Aurora Loan Services complaint by Conway185
Since the month of February, 2008 we have been trying to have a loan modification. We were taken advantage of by an investor and have a loan with this Aurora Loan. We have a 80/ 20 loan and the payments of course have been changed. We have tried sending all documentation to have the loan modified. All information has been sent four times by certified mail to Home Retention Group. They always say the same thing we did not receive your information and therefore your loan will not be modified. You have 14 days to change our decision. We cannot sell our home. The homes in florida have been on the market for over 10 months in our neighborhood. And of course a short sale is out of the question too. I have been stressed for months with this poor company customer service. I would suggest anyone using another company besides Aurora Loan. They must want a bunch of foreclosed homes sitting around. We already have three in our neighborhood. Shame on them. What comes around goes around.

Same thing. I'm active duty military and tried to apply for a refi in order to get a rentor. Aurora didn't want to do it. Told them that when I executed orders to a different geographic location and that money would decrease, they didn't want to hear it. I was forced into short-sale now. If I had it to do over again I would avoid Aurora like the plague.

The problems that you all are facing are probable cause for a class action lawsuit. You all say that you have proper documentation? So that covers you. Any lawyer could see that you guys are not crazy, and should be willing to take the case pro-bono.

There is power in numbers.

To :AG California

The money set aside for your Escrow account does not actually go to the bank's pocket. Your escrow account is your property tax and your hazard/fire insurance. You might want to review your property tax bill (in california, property taxes are due twice a year, divide the total amount by 12) and do the same for your hazard insurance (divide annual premium amount by 12). The total of these 2 amounts should be equal to the escrow account portion on your mortgage statement. Also check aurora's website if the insurance they have on file is the same insurance you have gotten when you bought your home...if NOT, they might have changed your insurance which usually have premiums of one thousand or more. This happens when your lender fails to forward your insurance to the "new" lender that services your loan.

Aurora Loan Services is a lost cause! I also have an Aurora Loan and they are not helping. Same as everybody, I want to keep my home. Although, Im struggling to keep the payments, I dont have any other choice for now.

I doubt if they will even offer the HOPE ACT FOR HOMEOWNERS come October 1.

Let us keep our fingers crossed for the 700 billion bail out, maybe it is our only hope.

How can we get off the hook of Aurola Loan Services without losing everything we have worked so hard for? I called to discuss a possibilty of lowering my interst rate and payments, but guess what? I was advised to do what ever I choose including going into foreclosure. You would think they would help you as other lenders do to try and keep their customer by bringing down their interest rate: but no. Funny, first I was asked if I could borrow upto about $100.000 from any where , and asked if I did not have friends that could give me that money to cover my deficit, resulting from devaluation of my home. They actually advised me to either put down the amount or go into foreclosure if I chosed. Isn't that riduclous? And about the excro account, it is just atrocious - the amount they take from us every month. Does anyone know how we can be freed from the pangs of these thieves? I need help.

I read both comments and I also have a loan with Aurora, I also get the same song and dance. I was trying to setup autopay, they send me documents via mail, I sent it back via mail, they claimed they didn't get it. They charged me delinquency charges for that. This is the 4th time I've sent their paperwork in and they said they didn't get it. Aurora loans ***, I also tried to renegotiate and they wouldn't. I got ripped off by a loan mortgage broker. I really got screwed into a messy loan but I'm trying to continue making my payments, but Aurora would rather have me foreclose than work on a payment plan.

I have had the same results with the bastards called Aurora. Since March of 07 I was able to renegotiate 6 other mortgages but Aurora just runs me in circles and has that famous line "we are sorry we did not get your documentation". At this point they increased payments by over $400 a mo at a time I am begging to get the payment lowered. They are all talk and that is about it. The dam banks created this mess by lending to dead beats and now are causing property values to plummet by not negotiating with owners, foreclosing and short selling the properties bring values down ever more. And who gets bailed our... not the owners... the *** banks! Really gives me a lot of hate for the criminals in Congress!
